DENTAL TREATMENT'S SAFE DURING PREGNANCY

Most of the dental treatments are considered safe and important during pregnancy, except traumatic dental surgeries and certain medications given during any treatments. Maintaining proper oral hygiene is very important during pregnancy periods as  there is a greater chance of developing gum diseases and dental caries due to food habits and hormonal changes during this period.   There is 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester in pregnancy. 1st trimester (0-13 weeks)  2nd trimester (14-26 weeks) 3rd trimester (27-40 weeks) There is a greater risk of miscarriage in the first trimester compared with other two, So there should be proper care taken while doing any procedure is this period of time. Ideally, all dental treatments or elective dental treatments can be performed second prime ministers.
