WHAT IS THE SUITABLE WAY TO PROTECT THE PULP BEFORE ANY PERMANENT RESTORATION IN CASE OF DEEP CAVITIES? Normally After the removal of caries and cavity preparation, liners and bases are applied to the walls of the prepared cavity to protect it from chemical, mechanical and thermal affects before any permanent restorations like silver amalgam, gold or composite. There will be pros and cons of the materials used under restorations of the cavity. If the prepared cavity is limited to 1mm to 2mm, there is no requirement of liners or base, you can directly carry-on with a permanent restoration. But if the prepared cavity is more the 2mm is depth, it's better to give a thin layer of dycal and covered with a glass ionomer cement, before restoring with any permanent restoration like composite. Yes, there is a proper way to brush your teeth.  If you are doing it the wrong way, it may cause sensitivity, bad breath, and can harm your gums.  Here are the do's and Don'ts of brushing your teeth that you need to know. ~ USING WRONG TOOTH BRUSH   You should be using a toothbrush with the right head size, preferably a smaller one with soft nylon bristles for your teeth. Hard ones could hurt your gums and lead to tooth abrasion which exposes the roots of the teeth. Also, if you are wearing orthodontic braces it can also damage the metal as well.
